While we begin with a well-defined project agreed upon with the client, there are times when clients decide to make changes along the way, or we encounter unforeseen issues that require alternative solutions. In such cases, we always strive to optimize timelines to avoid unnecessary delays.

A third key factor is the availability of materials and labor. Some finishes or special elements may have extended delivery times, which can impact the overall duration of the project. Regarding financing, for renovations, we offer the option to pay with a credit card, allowing our clients to split the cost into monthly payments according to their bank’s terms. This is because, before we begin a project, it is essential to have all materials purchased in advance—our role is to assemble and bring every element of the renovation to life.

If the project involves furnishing a space as a vacation rental investment, we have a partnership with a vacation rental company in the bay area. Through this model, we furnish the apartment for our client, while the company manages the rental process, allowing the renovation to be financed through rental income. However, this is a personalized service that is evaluated individually, considering specific costs and timeframes.

In a renovation, the necessary permits depend mainly on the type of property and the scope of the project.

Generally, only internal permits from the condominium or complex where the property is located are required. In these cases, it is essential to comply with internal regulations and established protocols, and we assist our clients throughout this process.

If the renovation involves expanding a private home, modifying the façade, or making any structural changes that alter the original design of the property, government permits are required. In these situations, we take care of obtaining the necessary permits to ensure that the project meets all regulations.

In both cases, whether internal or governmental permits, it is essential to present the project with detailed plans. We work closely with our clients to develop this documentation and ensure everything is properly submitted.

Regarding inspections, I personally oversee the construction process to ensure that every detail is executed as planned and that the final result meets the promised quality and expectations.

This is an important question, and at PARALELO STUDIO, we always prioritize clarity and transparency with our clients.

It’s essential to understand that a renovation is an upgrade or enhancement to a property, not a complete rebuild. We do not replace all original systems entirely, as doing so would lead to significantly higher costs.

For example, in a bathroom renovation, we can relocate the shower and, if feasible, the WC and sink. However, the main drainage and plumbing lines typically remain the same, with modifications made only from the point where these lines connect to the space. The same applies to electrical work—we build upon the existing wiring, extending or redirecting connections as needed. Unless, during the process, we uncover hidden issues that must be addressed to prevent future complications.

With this in mind, we offer a 12-month warranty on our renovations, subject to evaluation. For electrical and plumbing installations, the warranty applies as long as any issues are not caused by pre-existing infrastructure problems.

For all newly installed elements, such as carpentry, stonework, and painting, we guarantee our work for one year, provided that any damage is not due to misuse or external factors.
